LEWES Scene of the Battle of Lewes in 1264,where Simon de Montford defeated King Henry III and instigated the first elected Parliament. Anne of Cleves (4th wife of Henry VIII) House is here. Revolutionary Thomas Paine, writer of "The Rights of Man" and "The Age of Reason" (partly written while imprisoned during the French Revolution) and "Commonsense" (witten in the American Colonies), the pamphlet that was used to inspire the American War of Independence - he coined the term "United States of America".We visit both the 12th century castle and Anne of Cleves House. |

High Season price is £635 for 2 weeks (14 nights)
£800 for 3 weeks
£375 for 1 week (only available by prior agreement)
This price includes the following:
Being met on arrival in Brighton. Host Family (breakfast, packed lunch and dinner). Placement test. Lessons (10 days 9am to 12pm), course book and materials. All activities, visits and entrance fees. All evening activities on the schedule including the Good-bye dinner.
